Episode 183 of the Slow Living Podcast
Meet Sarah Horgan from the Simple and Intentional website and podcast.
I had the honor of talking with Sarah Horgan from the Simple + Intentional site and podcast, and her story is a powerful reminder of how clarity often emerges from challenge.
Sarah’s journey through a cancer diagnosis and into motherhood taught her some deeply meaningful lessons—about setting boundaries, letting go, and learning that prioritizing your own well-being isn’t selfish… it’s essential.
One of the most freeing realizations she shares? People aren’t thinking about us as much as we assume they are.
When we release the pressure to manage others’ emotions, we allow them space to process on their own—and we give ourselves permission to finally exhale.
This episode is also a beautiful reminder that small, quiet moments—a drive in silence, a tea latte, a little more margin in your day—aren’t insignificant. They’re anchors. They help you reconnect, reset, and remember who you are.
And here’s something we both believe deeply: your outer environment reflects your inner one.
Sometimes, the simple act of decluttering a drawer or clearing a countertop is the first step to clearing space mentally and emotionally, too.
Letting go (of things, relationships, old stories) creates room for growth. [ remember, the first step to Slow Living is to declutter all that isn’t working for you! ]
So here’s your gentle invitation this week:
Speak your truth.
Protect your peace.
Let go of what no longer serves you.
And take that next intentional step toward the life you dream of.
It doesn’t have to be grand or loud—it just has to be true to you.
