HAPPY FRIDAY!! I have a great giveaway for you today — an absolutely lovely care package from Benissimo Oil by Hongar Farms.
These olive oils and vinegars aren’t something you’ve had before — the levels of flavors remind me of a wonderful Italian restaurant that I used to go to as a teenager. I’d order a house salad for about $7 and then sit and eat basket after basket of french bread and their house olive oil with fresh herbs and spices.
I don’t do that anymore. One, restaurant french bread isn’t gluten free, and two, it just seems sneaky to sit and fill up on “free ” stuff at a restaurant.
Anyways. You will love these olive oils. I was able to try the Balsamic Garlic, Roasted Garlic, and Pepper Garlic. I dipped Against the Grain baguettes into a small bowl of the oils and was just blown away.
Unlike other gourmet olive oils, the flavor is infused throughout the whole bottle — there really isn’t a need to “shake up the good stuff” from the bottom of the jar — it’s flavored perfectly throughout.
These bottles would also make a fabulous hostess gift. The presentation is gorgeous and if you wanted to, you could pair a bottle of the oil with a dish towel or a bottle of wine.
